Beltran has been our best hitter this year.

OUCH!
Castro looked like he was shot.

Pops Franco in to pinch hit with the bases juiced.

Castro gets plunked with a pitch to load the bases. Matsui with an opportunity to break the game open. Come on Kaz.

Upon edit: Actually the pitchers spot is due up then Kaz. Father time with the chance to break this game open.

Franco strikes out on three pitches.

At the end of seven the Mets lead the Phillies by a score of 5-4.

Its really nice to see Soler sitting next to Pedro on the bench and both having a laugh.
What that must mean to a guy like Soler who took a boat from Cuba to get here............

to be sitting next to Pedro Martinez and chuckling.
Only in America.

Well now Fatso and Fruitloops get to call essentially a "Day Off" for the Mets, as much as you can have of course in a late May game against the 5 back 2nd place team on a getaway afternoon game!

Neat thing about Soler, at least for me - watching that first inning, it was pretty apparent that he wasn't going to get out of it without giving up some runs, but yet I just had a feeling he was going to settle down. He really has a presence and I'm glad he got the opportunity to show that he can come out of adversity and keep his poise.
