Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Lieber's at 98 pitches and probably gets lifted if the Phils get a runner on.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Soler looks like a major leaguer.
Guest martin Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 i dont see any reason not to love soler. a little nerves early, fantastic since.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Hey that was nice - crowd gets behind him and he gets the K. Welcome to the big leauges.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 6 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 4BB, 5 K, 102 pitches. Nice solid debut, welcome Alay Soler.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 NICE.Soler gets us through the 6th.As of now he has 5 Ks, had thrown 61 strikes and 41 balls.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Just sat down and read through the IGT. After an understandably shaky start, it sounds like Soler has settled down. Nice to see that Beltran and Wright continue to swing hot bats. If Floyd can continue to build upon his last few games, the Mets will be that much more dangerous.Keep the runs coming guys.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 I like it, he seems to know how to pitch. Better outing than Lima/Gonzo/Maine ever gave. I can see the light at the end of this SP tunnel if Soler can pitch like this and Hernandez rounds out the rotation.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Hit for Soler or go back to the well? Smart money says PHer.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Alay, Alay, AlayAlayAlay!(Do they play soccer in Cuba? We should sing that chant when he pitches.)
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Matsui on deck. Woody trying to lay one down.
Guest martin Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 soler looks much fatter than the photo i remember seeing here for so long. but i am not convinced being fat is not an advantage.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Yea, shame Soler will get no win, but he did his job well.Gave us some innings and kept us in the game.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Beltran has been our best hitter this year.
