Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 ="Bret Sabermetric"].......... so when Wags comes in he's protecting a 1-run lead and pitches well therefore.Looks like you called it Brett. Ya bastage.Im all for running him back out there ASAP,as i said in yesterdays IGT, but I just wish it didnt have to be tonight. If he doesnt get the job done tonight the downside is really down. And he threw alot of pitches yesterday. This is worrysome, but as a Met fan Im used to worryin.*Z crosses his fingers, his toes, his eyes,...his testicles cross themselves voluntarily.Get it done Sandman!

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Thanks, Meatloaf. While I'm at it, thank fucking god we pulled this one out. My tender pysche couldn't have handled another blown game against the motherfuckingyankees. As Z says, shoulda been a sweep, but I'll take 2 of 3. The bitter taste from last night is still in my mouth, though. Not sure what it will take to get that out of there, but tonight wasn't enough.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Mets 4 Yankees 3 FinalParadise by the scoreboard lights.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Effin weird game:- Yanks had all those baserunners but rarely came close to hitting a ball hard.- 12 hits in all, 3 of which never left the infield. 10 were singles and one of them should have been an error. Plus even one of the 2 doubles never left the infield- 7 friggin walks, which really sukked because we kept walking all their shitty and replacement hitters: Bernie twice, Melky 1, Stinnett 1, Cairo 1, plus ARod & Giambi once each- and then we hit two guys, including Kevin Freekin Reese- 3 GiDPs bailed our asses out
