Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I suck at starting IGT. Of course, it was a Lima start so my odds of getting a win were greatly diminished.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 so-does Lima get another start?Does Lima ever get the ball again as a Met?Do the Mets break up their pen by giving Heilman some starts?Do they pull off a deal?,.......find a stop gap within?Stay tuned tomorrow night...Same Met Time,Same Met channel.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Probably no time to deal unless the right thing is hanging out there.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I hate the Brewers. Just got done watching the game at a bar full of Brewer fans. Really, I was just asking for it.I've always considered them a AAAA team.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 It probably isn't in the wind.Still a few internal angles worth checking out.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Pretty please, with sugar on top . . .Heilman.Although Bradford, Oliver & Bell didn't help us much in this one either.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 who is startung tommorow's IGT? we need some good luck with jeremi gonzalez going, anyone willing to take THAT hit on their record?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Greck has to take that IGT, he has a crazy record, we need all the help we can get, Mets are losing while Phillie and the Braves are winning...

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I watched this game from behind home plate. I have to watch the game on MLB.TV and see if I can see me. Oddly there were a ton of other Mets fans in the seats around me. I didn't expect much from Lima, but it was pretty rotten that he actually pitched effectively for so long that I actually got hope we'd get out of it. He imploded with 2 outs and seemed to have a gazillion chances to get strike three and escape unscathed but didn't. It's like that thing Leiter was criticized about a few years back of getting two strikes and then throwing crap instead of going after the guy.Is Prince Fielder going to join the Pat Burrell Society of Met Killers?Anyhow, it was a fun night at the ballpark other than the outcome. Drank some Leinie's, ate some cheese fries, saw my first sausage race and rode back on a bus full of Mets fans to a hotel also full of Mets fans.

Just one Mets fan there. And I didn't have nightmares despite all the Wisconsin beer and cheese I consumed.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 One more thing, there was a foul pop up that I believe Carlos Lee went after but didn't get to it because the tarp tripped him up. Which begs the question: Miller Park has a retractable roof (closed the entire weekend), why do they even have a tarp?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Rules.Besides, it wouldn't be the first roof to fail to retract when needed.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Does the roof still have those leaks, remember when the Mets palyed there a few years ago and the damn roof was leaking like crazy, maybe that's why they have the tarp.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Good point. I was trying to make the point to the guys next to me that if a sudden storm came up they may need the tarp because it takes 10 minutes for the roof to close. I didn't even think of the roof not being able to close. FWIW, it rained all weekend and I notice no leaks.
