Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I'm just poking my head in here for a moment.I'm watching the Phillie telecast too. When they asked that question, the first name to pop into my head was David Cone.Nice play in the first inning by Kaz on the double play. Reyes flipped him the ball and Matsui caught it bare-handed with his back to first base, spun, and gunned out the batter at first.Glavine has the Phillies hitless through 3. With a 10-run lead, will he continue to flirt with the no-hitter? I used to yearn for a Mets no-hitter, but now I kinda hope the Mets never get one. The lack of a no-hitter, after all these years, gives them something unique. Once they get one, they'll be just like all those other teams that have had no-hitters.I may feel differently if Glavine still has it going with two outs in the 9th. However, I'll be watching Lost by then, so if it happens I won't find out until later. Maybe I'll TiVo the last few innings.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Willets Point - "Uh-oh, down 1-2-3. Where did the O go?"Probably still winded from the the third inning.

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Saves us some suspense. Now I can watch Lost without wondering about the no-hitter. Just as I was putting it in TiVo, too. I guess I'll tune in after Lost and see if the Phillies have tied the score.
