Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Heilman strikes out Matheny.Willie furious...demanding an answer as to why he wasn't walked.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 You know what i'd like to see if the Mets don't score? Bottom 8th- Jorge Julio pitching to Barry Bonds with runners on. You want to earn our trust back? here's a big chance.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Alou has long been one of the great "hands" hitters in MLB. He has a knack for adjusting his hands during a swing - either pulling them in so as to not get jammed or otherwise correcting in mid-hack. He would have had an even better career if not for at least 2 devastating injuries which wrecked 2 full seasons and pieces of others.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Valentin up. Because God forbid we should get our leadoff man aboard.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 My mistake. Valentin reaches on a blistering ground ball that just ate up Neikro. That was scored an error? Wow, tough call.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 errors kill for the other side too.Valentin on 1st

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Reyes fails to make contact, pretty disappointing for a guy with his speed who has a decent chance to reach on any ground ball.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Quick and dirty from the UMDB:In 55 games during Bobby Valentine's career, we intentionally walked Bonds 8 (eight) times.
