Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 This is the fandini description from mets.com -]The Mets Fandini is a new promotional apparel item that doubles as a Mets Rally towel. There is no accompanying photo.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I suppose it could be worn as a little cocktail apron
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 That sounds rather sexy.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Wow! I hope Metsmarathon posts a picture of himself wearing it!

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I wouldn't be shocked if Mr. Met is wearing a large version of it during the weekend.I liked the 1988 K Hankies better, no dual purpose
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 son of a bitch. first game i choose to go to in about a year, and guess who's pitching.steve trachsel.oy.anybody else going on sunday?and to clarify, i'm not going on monday, and therefore will miss out on the opportunity to obtain a free fandini. if somebody is willing to send me one, and really really wants that picture...
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Going to the regular season home finale. No surprise then that Glavine is the probable starter.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I suppose I'll have a fandini to spare.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I'm sure the Fandinis will be available on eBay. And I doubt they'll go for very much money.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Yes, but will metsmarathon be willing to buy one off of ebay just to wear it as an apron? And will it be a GAME USED fandini?Details, details.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Who will be going to Game 1?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I'm going to game 81 which will probably be the last game I'll attend this season unless I win the lottery or something.
Guest 86-Dreamer Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 just got tix to NLDS game 5 via the lottery. Row O of the mezzanine. does anyone know at what row the overhang starts to have a material effect on the view?
Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I just got tix to game 5 also. Row O of the Upper Deck. Section 16.Mixed emotions here. I'd love to go but it is a game I hope actually doesn't occur.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 After game 2 or game 3 you may be hoping it does occur.

Row O of the mezzanine. does anyone know at what row the overhang starts to have a material effect on the view?Row O is the second to last row.The Mets designate rows N, O and P of the Mezzanine as the "Back Rows - Partially Obstructed" seating.Personally, I think adding Rows L and M to that category might be warranted.Don't mean to the a rain cloud on your parade. It's better to be in the building that watching at home.
Guest 86-Dreamer Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Thanks for info Gwreck. I suspected they were obstructed but held out slim hope that they were not "Back Row" tix because they were priced the same as regular mezz reserved. i would have bought them regardless.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I think in the second-to-last row you can expect to not be able to see the sky or the scoreboard. If I remember right, you'll see the end of the overhang just above the top of the outfield fence.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 damn. too slow. no tixx available, as far as i can tell.well, i could go by my lonesome, but i'd feel bad leaving the wifey at home.OE: i stand corrected. patience and a whole lot of clicking paid off! Game 5, Upper Deck Section 27, row PHappy Birthday to me! ...tho the CPF ticker fails to acknowledge such a thing what are the projected game 5 dates again?

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Game 5 will be Monday, October 9, in the evening (a 7:00 or 8:00 start).I also got tickets today...although I too suspect the game won't be necessary.Edit: Happy Birthday!
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 As a note to all, the fandini is a bit too narrow to wear as a skirt. Maybe a small child could pull it off. I could probably use it as a leg warmer.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Could you maybe wear it under your kilt? Like a half slip?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Just curious -- are there any other season/plan account holders here -- or other persons holding tickets to the postseason?
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 When I woke up this morning, this e-mail was waiting for me:]Dear Loser: Thank you for participating in the random online drawing for the opportunity to purchase tickets for potential 2006 Mets postseason games scheduled to be played at Shea Stadium.
