ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:04 AM Posted Thursday at 12:04 AM Stearns is such a prick that he is hanging Mendoza out to dry for one reason, to keep the fingers from pointing at himself
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 12:08 AM Author Posted Thursday at 12:08 AM Sometimes you can count, and six-seven-eight straight pitches the Mets swing at are outside of the strike zone. THIS is the difference maker. This is where the rubber hits the road.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:14 AM Posted Thursday at 12:14 AM Second inning in a row with runner on 2nd/no outs and once again no one gets the ball out of the IF: HBP - K - K - BB - GO
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:26 AM Posted Thursday at 12:26 AM Mets down 14-0 in about 14 innings
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:27 AM Posted Thursday at 12:27 AM I got a good idea, let's wait until there are two outs with runners on to give up all our HRs Mets, in the meantime, can't get a ball out of the infield much less a hit in six tries with RiSP
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 12:33 AM Author Posted Thursday at 12:33 AM The Mets scoring — it's not like it's illegal.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:37 AM Posted Thursday at 12:37 AM I have no idea who that mascot thingie is.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:41 AM Posted Thursday at 12:41 AM So Peterson goes for the comebacker he should have let go and lets the one go that he should have gloved.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 12:44 AM Author Posted Thursday at 12:44 AM Merciful hook for Peterson. Maybe giving him 10 or so days of rest wasn't the way to go.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:46 AM Posted Thursday at 12:46 AM Another game I won’t tune into. It’s like the Mets don’t exist.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 01:42 AM Author Posted Thursday at 01:42 AM That homer by Burleson ruins Jonathan Pintaro's no-hit season.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 01:48 AM Posted Thursday at 01:48 AM I don't see that there is any real accountability in this organization Soto is one lazy mofo and his tenure here is not going to end well imho I said a long time ago that it did not look good that he was on his fourth organization already. The most common response was that no one could financially afford Soto, except the lucky Mets
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 01:52 AM Posted Thursday at 01:52 AM It's not good when you're being out-scored by the NHL playoffs: Last four games: Mets = 2 + 7 + 0 + 2 = 11 Carolina Hurricanes: 4 + 4 + 4 + 5 =17 Las Vegas Golden Knights: 5 + 3 + 5 + 3 = 16
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 01:53 AM Author Posted Thursday at 01:53 AM Alvarez' homerun in the fourth was the last hit for the Mets.

Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:36 PM Posted Thursday at 12:36 PM I don't know what you can do with Peterson at this point.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:45 PM Posted Thursday at 12:45 PM I think you have to sell this team for parts at this point. The only folks who care about having around next year are Lindor, Soto, McLean, Scott, Myers, Ewing, Benge, and I still love Alvy. That's eight guys, which is sad. I picked a random bad Mets team in the past - 2018 - and I found more than twice as many guys who I was legitimately excited about at the time (Wilmer, Conforto, Nimmo, Dom, McNeil, Rosario, Guillorme, Lagares, deGrom, Wheeler, Matz, Harvey, Lugo, Noah, Robles, and maybe Cespedes, and that's not even including old Jose Reyes and retiring David Wright). How do you fuck up a $380M payroll this badly? The Hot Corner 1
