A lot of good teams upside down to start this season: the Brewers, Blue Jays, Red Sox, etc. The Mets are just one of a group, and it's unlikely to stay that way.

Devin Williams has fallen off the chart because he hasn’t pitched since last Tuesday against Arizona.

The Mets have been dominated by mediocre pitching.

Maybe they’ll dominate good pitching.

The chart is still buggy. I'm working out how exactly to identify which pitchers should remain on the list, and which should be automatically removed. There are more qualifiers than just scanning the 26-man roster. Teams using openers really throws a wrench into the gears. I'm still sorting out fringe cases like that.

In the office season there was a lot of talk about Francisco Alvarez breaking out

I think he broke out the year he hit 25 homers. He has not approached anything like that since

I'd like to move him up to third in the order and make him consistently responsible for the ducks on the pond

The used Vientos in the three hole last night. Alvarez might be an improvement from that

I agree, but weirdly, ninth is where he's most productive, and by a LOT. I don't know how much of that is someone like Lindor hitting behind him.

Notable, though, that he doesn't have any RBIs from the 9 spot, because our 6-8 spots are usually ass.

I don’t know about your reading comprehension friend. My take away is we have the wrong Francisco at leadoff.

Well, he's not batting leadoff, but he sure is sneaking up the lineup.

Or maybe that's just an illusion matter of perspective, and in actuality, several others are falling back while he stands still

Edgy, not to be too picky, but the lineup shows Baty in RF batting 6th and again in RF batting 9th.  I am assuming that the 9th slot is either Taylor or Pham playing in LF.

Benge.  The #9 guy is Benge.

Some shit just went down in my house as I was posting.  My apologies.  I get distracted.

I was hoping they'd bat McLean cleanup.

Brain thinking, right there.

I wonder what type of loss we’ll have today. Will it be 1-0?  With the Dodgers scoring on a defensive miscue?

maybe we’ll take a small early lead and the pen will cough it up.

More likely McLean will give us a good start. Maybe 3 runs, 6IP. And we lose 3-0.

I’m at the point where a Mets win would be the flukiest of flukes.

We're due for one of those games where we're up like 8-0 after three and then just don't get another hit while the other team chips away little by little until suddenly it's 8-9 and then they keep going and we lose 8-15.

But actually they're going to win 4-1 tonight, Bichette homers.

Lindor was high fiving and chest bumping through the dugout. He bumped Pham and noticeably bounced back.

I don't like how McLean swings his leg to put body English on his breaking pitches.   It could turn into a tip, it could lead to over-throwing, and it doesn't leave him in position to field.
