Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 1 Posted April 1 The Mets offense has been sleeping 3 of their 5 games. Not great last night either.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 1 Posted April 1 In all seriousness. The good news is that Senga pitched pretty well, which is encouraging. The bad news is that the offense was pretty bad. I like that this team does not seem to srike out as much as previous Mets teams*, but a lot of weak contact as a team. *=I realize it is a small sample (5 games), but this line up tends to take pitches and make contact more regularly than last years team.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Well, he's all you'd ever want He's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take from the bullpen Well, he always knows his place ,He's got style, he's got grace, he's a winner He's a lady Whoa, whoa, whoa he's Dickie lovelady Talkin' about that little lovelady And the lovelady is mine
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Seriously, though, nobody in the bullpen can pitch on back-to-back days? That's not sustainable. They would have lost last night anyway because, you know, no hitting, but you have to be able to put in somebody better than Lovelady in a spot where you're only down two runs.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1 Posted April 1 This team lacks a proven RBI producer. oh, wait … Later
