A few things you'll like about this new software

1. You can upload images directly from your computer, and post them here. Just look for the "Drag files..." at the bottom of the reply window and go from there.

2. You can tag users to make them aware of content, just start with an @ symbol and then select the user, like so @Edgy MD.

3. There is a GIF icon at the top of the reply window, and it contains a GIF library you can easily insert into a post, like so:

4. You can easily embed stuff with just a URL.

Just paste a YouTube video URL, then hit spacebar. This happens:

m.e.t.b.o.t. Has observed - albeit in the extremely small sample size of a single topic string - that the instruction parameters to display a matrix of text inputs in horizontal and vertical cells appears to be quite distinct from previous instantiations of the crane pool forum. 
 

M.e.t.b.o.t. recognizes that previous text matrix formatting instructions may be incompatible with the current location operating instructions and hope that future upgrades to m.e.t.b.o.t. can be accomplished to properly interface with and generate the new text matrix display commands. The parts required may need to be sourced from an old in-dash cd player from a 2003 Pontiac grand am, but m.e.t.b.o.t. Is certain that a search of internet unwanted items auction site eBay will discover the required components, provided the interfacing instructions are presented in a machine-readable format.

I've been through a fair share of forum changes in my time at DiamondCentric. I will say you get used to the new format pretty quickly once you know where to look for stuff. And the technical team is usually pretty good about getting rid of any obtrusive advertisements.
 

Hopefully the analysis we'll be pumping out on the front page makes up for any shortcomings in the changeover process.

man... the biggest complaint i have is that there's just so little of my screen that has meaningful content on it.  i'm used to more visually, informationally dense format.
