Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Seven runs today — all courtesy of Tatis, Jr. Plus-three on offense, and minus-four on defense.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19 Posted August 19 The Mets had their chances to have a few on the board aside from Tatis' heroics
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Luis Torrens has been touched by Daniel Murphy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Luis Torrens has a VZ on his catching helmet underneath his mask.

I lean on the bit of reverb and forgiveness that a microphone allows me. I won't deny it. I had a gig a few weeks ago where the venue lost power, mid-song in fact. I did a good 7-8 songs in a fully unplugged fashion and made choices that suited that presentation style. It came off all right, albeit as a more exhausting way of entertaining. Good to know that I <can> do it at least

People who can sing are using autotune as an effect. To me, it makes them sound like they can't sing, when I know they can. But to the audience they are going for, this is what music sounds like. Autotune is, of course, slathered all over "OMG." I wonder how he'll be without that, or whether Broadway will let him use it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Hate to see the Pads tack on, but I have to tip my hat to Bob Henley, who had the guts to send Bowen after last night. Don Henley, on the other hand gets nothing but boos from me.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Listening to the radio and Howie/Keith commenting on Tatis getting booed. Howie says it’s because he’s good. No, Howie. It’s because of the PED suspension. Centerfield 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Or, you know, just keep the line a-movin'. You've got a hot righty batter behind you.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Luis is batting cleanup against the lefty for a reason.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 Soto has a serious Brillo pad on his head going on.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 19 Posted August 19 I think you mean third but I agree with the point. 100% of Mets homers tonight hit by guys named Luis.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Please stop telling me how great this bullpen is. Tell me how much danger they are in.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 The Mets don't really have a righty to pinch-hit for Ewing on the bench.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19 Posted August 19 If it's Miller vs. Torrens, do you go to Young? Or do you stay with the hot bat?
