So not much better or worse than Freddy Peralta.

This might turn out to be one of those trades that sucks for both teams.

The Brewers might have been able to get someone better for Peralta.

And the Mets might have been able to get someone better for Sproat and Jett.

It's possible the Mets could get Williams back for Peralta but not Sproat.

I'd absolutely trade Peralta back for Williams. He's still just 22.

We could've had a rotation with Thornton and Sproat together, but David Stearns wanted Freddy Peralta instead. Sproat still has a world of potential, Peralta, not so much. He's established, Sproat is still developing. 

Thornton, Sproat, McLean, Tong, Scott. It could've been glorious ...

One problem with Thornton giving up so many balls in the air is that, now that the Brews suddenly have two on, the double-play isn't as likely.
