Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 14 Posted July 14 When the Mets were playing in Atlanta a week or so ago, Chris Sale recorded his 500th strikeout with the Braves, making him one of 10 pitchers to record at least 500 strikeouts with 3 different franchises (CHW, BOS, ATL). A fun statistical anomaly. Of those other 9 pitchers…2 pitchers have 500+ with each of 4 different franchises, and 7 have done it with 3 different franchises. Who are they?

Okay, now I am ALL IN on a second-half rotation of McLean - Peralta - Scott - Pedro - Ryan. A 54-year-old Pedro would probably need at MOST 50 innings to strike out 36 guys. That's 10-12 starts, An 80-year-old Nolan Ryan could strike out seven guys in three innings. LET'S DO THIS, STEARNS.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 Randy Johnson is the only player to have 2000 strikeouts with 2 different franchises (SEA and ARZ). But he only had 383 with NYY. Charlie Hough has >500 with LAD and TEX but only 191 with FLA.
