Quiz: 500 Ks with 3+ Teams

When the Mets were playing in Atlanta a week or so ago, Chris Sale recorded his 500th strikeout with the Braves, making him one of 10 pitchers to record at least 500 strikeouts with 3 different franchises (CHW, BOS, ATL).  A fun statistical anomaly.

Of those other 9 pitchers…2 pitchers have 500+ with each of 4 different franchises, and 7 have done it with 3 different franchises.  Who are they?

Okay, now I am ALL IN on a second-half rotation of McLean - Peralta - Scott - Pedro - Ryan.

A 54-year-old Pedro would probably need at MOST 50 innings to strike out 36 guys. That's 10-12 starts, An 80-year-old Nolan Ryan could strike out seven guys in three innings.

It’s a good guess.  He had >1000 with both the Cleveland Spiders and the Red Sox.  Only 226 in his 2 seasons in St. Louis, though.
