Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2025 Posted October 25, 2025 To bring up and old SC classic. We got the wrong Japanese.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2025 Posted October 25, 2025 Hell of a start from Yamamoto
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2025 Posted October 25, 2025 Set down the last 20 batters of the game. Ridiculous.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 As great as the pitching was, Colonel Sanders holding up a Springer Dinger sign was the highlight of the game for me.Later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Rob Manfred. Speed up the game! Also, Jonas Brothers concert.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2025 Author Posted October 26, 2025 Today would have been a good day for a late afternoon WS game. But, no.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Author Posted October 27, 2025 Game #3 at 8-something PM EDT as the scene shifts to southern CaliforniaMax Scherzer vs Tyler GlasnowNo word yet on who the between innings entertainment will feature.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 I'm willing to cut them a little slack. The "concert" was part of MLB's efforts for curing cancer. Every MLB has been involved in it. Since their dad died from the disease, they were an appropriate act to pick.I just wish they had told us sooner, so we could have expected the duration of the delay.Later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Not having baseball to watch yesterday sucked. I've decided I'm rooting for this series to go 7.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 So the Dodgers accumulate Japanese players and win. MehFootball was great this weekend, college and an exciting Jets winI don't see the Blue Jays winning another game
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Author Posted October 27, 2025 The Dodgers certainly didn't want to see their stater pulled after just 4-2/3 innings. Not that any team wants that but the gulf between LAD starters and their relievers is bigger than most.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Author Posted October 27, 2025 And now Max gets pulled after 4-1/3 IP so they can get a lefty in to face Ohtani who had doubled and HR'd vs Scherzer.... and so he doubles off the reliever anyway and drives in a run.4-3 Jays
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Did the Jays accidentally call the Mets bullpen by accident?I swear that's Gregory Soto.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 (edited) Roberts pulls an effective reliever to bring in the righty to face Guerrero. Single. Double. Jays lead 4-3. This has been a clinic on how not to manage. On Edit. 5-4 Jays. Math is hard. Edited October 27, 2025 by Guest
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Author Posted October 27, 2025 Another Teoscar Hernandez game where he shows what a wonderful hitter he can be, and also how Not good at baseball he is otherwise.- early monster HR for a 1-0 lead- makes the 3rd out at 3rd base by trying to go 1st to 3rd on a ball that never left the infield- and now the Dodgers are -1 run on account of a great throw from RF to cut down Freddie at the plate, while the Jays are +1 run on account of a lousy throw from RF by ... Teoscar Hernandez
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 What a cool game. This is what the World Series should be.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 The baserunning has been something.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Blue Jays read FK post about Teoscar and got tricked into an all time bad send.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 The IBB of Gimenez seems unnecessary
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Once again this game proves, if nothing else, how awful the free runner is in extras.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Lest it be lost to history, Will Smith led off the bottom of the 14th and his plate appearance ended with him starting out at the outfield as he flipped his bat.Problem is that it was caught on the warning track. To be clear, I generally like home run celebrations…but, you know, you'd better be sure it's actually a home run, pal.
