Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Diaz has historically been a very overrated pitcher.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 It's these stupid Mets unis causing this

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 We have our regular pinch-runner, Acoonie, in the lineup. I'm not particular confident that Mauricio (the alternative) would have scored on that double. But I really wanted to imagine a scenario where we scored on that double.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 Turns out that Soto was the baserunner we needed.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Slipknot Stanek is closing? LOL, good luck.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 =ashie62 post_id=198618 time=1753042134 user_id=90]He stole that run
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Stanek is a worse pitcher than Braden Pooper, Frank Franshitshow and Jorge Juliblow combined.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 It's not Stank, it's Stanek
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Stanek and his burst of mediocrity just barely got him over the hump.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 Somewhere, Fran Healy was yelling CAN OF CORN!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 It all started with good starting pitching today
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 I can't believe Stanek actually held that. Why was Diaz pulled?
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 David Stearns, the very mediocre Mets executive, opted to keep Stanek over Phil Maton (currently a 2.55 ERA and 11.5 K/9 for St. Louis) in the off-season, LOL.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 David Stearns, the very mediocre Mets executive, opted to keep Stanek over Phil Maton (currently a 2.55 ERA and 11.5 K/9 for St. Louis) in the off-season, LOL.Give me a fucking break already. The Mets had the best pitching in all of baseball for the first two months of the season and it wasn't even close. Their pitching staff was baseball's version of the Miami Dolphins early 70's "No Name Defense " -- the best there was even if you couldn't name two players on the squad. Where would the Mets be without that?
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 David Stearns, the very poor executive who makes Billy Eppler look smart, is trying to sabotage this team I think.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Man the Mets tried really, really hard to lose that game. But they failed to even do that.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 They would have lost even better if Stearns wasn't in charge.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 You missed a good game while you were acting ridiculous. Why do folks troll? It's like there's nothing else going on here. How fun can it really be trolling for trolls?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 Caught the last half of this one, via an illicit stream, because WPIX games exist still
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 I've taken a more passive approach to consuming my Mets. I have to reiterate how pleased I am that I can stream Mets on the Sonos audacy app. We have a portable one I can take outside and do shit. I have an actual radio for that too which I also use sometimes

A summer float in my pool with the ballgame on and a cold beverage is a pretty well spent Sunday afternoon.
