kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 And as if on cue, Baty blunders as well...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 My impression was that Baty does not have to clear out of the way allowing Kiner-Falefa to field the ball. Once the ball passes through the first fielder (Hayes), the runner should have the right of way. Also, I was not confident Baty wasn't safe.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 Mendy sure knows how to bilaterally gesticulate.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 I think in the predictions thread I took Mendoza never getting the boot in 2025.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 One run on eight hits through four and a third is not maximizing.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 Again. History tells you the Mets will not fight back to win. Just a two run lead against an awful team. Show some sack Mets.

Hmmm ... .I hate that they'll use this as an excuse for the poor performance when the reality is that he's just a terrible pitcher.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 Marching Blackbusted out there after an hour and a half was just dumb.I didn't type it at the time, but meant to. No, really....
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 Very disappointing team. I don't know where the issues lie
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 Everybody hits! Wrong team though...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 For all the bitching about the pitching, the Mets are being held to 2 runs or fewer for the 7th time in the last 11 games. This (bottom 8th) doesn't even matter. A one run lead was already an insurmountable lead.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 1. Give Waddell the start the next time this turn comes around the rotation.2. Brazoban to Syracuse for a rest/re-focus.3. Not sure what the solution is for the offense but I'm open to suggestions.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 They should look to acquire batters who can get hits with the team trailing. I mean, if the team feels it needs base stealers, it can go out and get base stealers. If the team feels that it need more Home Run hitters, it can go out and get Home Run hitters. So the Mets should look to acquire batters that can hit in the clutch and hit when the team is losing. /rollseyes

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 They're a good team. Not as good as the team that started the season but still good. They've lost Minter, Young, Senga, Megill, Canning, and Kranick. No one can lose that many arms and not take a hit. They've also added Blackburn which is a negative. Offensively they are a middle of the pack offense. Which is disappointing given their potential to be much more.
