Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 After a day off in their own beds, the Mets come off a perfect homestand and take baseball's best record down the interstate to take on the Nationals, winners of two in a row themselves. Jeff McNeil and Francisco Álvarez are expected to rejoin the team as Kodai Senga returns to the hill against The Unknown Pitcher. Righthanders Brad Lord and Jake Irvin started the two halves a doubleheader on Sunday, so it will likely be one of them. The Nats will be wrapping up their series against Baltimore on Thursday, and so will not get the rest the Mets are enjoying even now.https://marylandsportsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Mets-AT-Nats.jpg>
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2025 Posted April 24, 2025 Bradley R. Lord (his real name) was also the name of the NY Mammoth's obsequious flunky (is there any other kind of flunky?) Road Secretary (or some such title) in Mark Harris's masterful novel Bang the Drum Slowly.
