OK, I am often very behind on the pop culture stuff. I saw some references to The Rizzler late last year, and saw he threw out the first pitch in one of the recent games. Looks like a little kid. What's the deal with this and how is he connected to the Mets?

The Rizzler brings the boom with the Costco Guys, Big Boom AJ and Big Justice.

They all were somewhat wholesome and funny at first but they've gone so cringe lately. Plus I hate that Mama Justice and Ashley got involved. Former child star trauma coming.

The Rizzler is a Mets fan irl. The Costco Guys are Yankees fans.

He'd been trying to turn himself and his family into reality stars for years and they finally hit on the Costco Guys skit. It's incredible how hard they milked that one success (and how it was a success mostly because people found them so odd). He's sincere and I have no doubt he thinks what he's doing is right (and they're making enormous $$ now) but the kids are like child stars from the 1930s, working everyday, getting tutored vs. school, etc. I don't see it ending well

He was featured on the big board to the crowd's delight last September, and I had zero idea there was any backstory beyond that young fellow appearing…interesting.

Thanks. It's all so clear now.

It's so difficult to explain, so I took a shortcut. But it started here, when this father-and-son did a take on the "We're ____. Of course we _____ " trend on tiktok:

This inspired lots of bizarre fan-art tributes and admiration for showing a rare father-and-son relationship online, and they grew a giant audience really rapidly. They plowed it into a series of food-review videos where they gave a BOOM! or DOOM! and "boom!" became a catchphrase of theirs, which they've subsequently driven into the ground. It's like Bart never tiring of being the "I didn't do it" boy.

Somewhere along the line, they associated with the Rizzler who's the little fat kid who also had a growing social media following. The Rizzler developed his own schtick with the "Rizzface"

Now AJ is a pro wrestling star, they've been on Jimmy Fallon, they have a ton of brand endorsement deals, Rizzler gets front row seats to Mets games and they done a bunch of music videos with actual composers and performers. BRING THE BOOM!

So this doesn't have anything to do with blowjob noises?

Everything in the whole world has everything to do with that

I read this entire thread and still have no idea why anyone would care who this person is.

The only reason to care seems to be that it's kind of sad to see parents trying to use their kids to become famous.
