Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Yeah, those positions might be better off swapped.I'd like to see Franco (or Hernandez for that matter) with a lefthanded catcher's glove, though.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 To be fair, when his number was retired two seasons ago, Keith threw a “first pitch” from first base to at catcher (his brother) on the edge of the dirt circle at home plate — at least 70 feet.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 That's two years already on Keith, wowSpinning out way to victory todayGabba Gabba Hey Gabba WeLGM!!

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Mets faced Nola twice in 2024 with vastly different results. On May 14 he through a complete game four hit shutout with 8 K's to beat the Mets 4-0 at Citi Field. On September 13th, though, he gave up 6 ER on 2 walks and 6 hits in 4 1/3 innings, in an 11-3 drubbing in Philly, including home runs given up to Francisco Alvarez and Brandon Nimmo.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Nola pitched pretty well in that September game, but I feel like he got rattled after the Alvarez HR.I said this whole series was gravy and I also said I'd be happy with a split coming out of Philly. But man, that loss was disappointing on Sunday. I feel like they had so many opportunities to put them away. All of that will be cured with a win tonight. But I definitely don't feel like this is a "house money" game.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 It's a funny thing to know that from 5 p.m to about 8, 8:15, I'll be feeling nothing but pure stress, and following that I'll either be elated or despondent and nothing in between.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Postseason baseball is a lot of fun. And it looks like we should be able to experience it more often than in the past, between the wealthy owner and the expanded field.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I've noticed lately Gary Cohen has a large swelling slightly below his left ear. Hope he's ok
