Another trend I find maddeningly stupid. Stop releasing "finalists" for these awards like they are the Oscars. There's so much masturbatory baseball content and they could be airing Arizona Fall League games on TV instead.

Mentioned before but all of the awards, one night, no leaking of candidates, combined with AFL all-star and skills competition, and the Venezuelan vs Dominican Winter League All-Star Classic, and a Live Rule 5 Draft, and presentation of the luxury tax checks, at the Winter Meetings, only now they've been renamed the Winter Baseball Equinox & Dealmaking Expo 24.

I'm all about this, but you've got to announce nominees before dramatically announcing awards at banquets, in order to get candidates to show up.
