Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Might be a good time for 2 innings of Houser.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Question. Do the offensive stats from tonight count? Or are they discounted cuz it's the scrub Yankees?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Mets haven't beaten the Yanx by a 12 - 2 score since way back in .... actually it was 28 days ago.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 My favorite aspect of NYM/NYY subway series games is watching dejected Yankee fans in the stands when their team is losing. That shit is like catnip to me[MetsOrange]MEOWWWWWW[/MetsOrange]
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Crying Yanqui fans isn't catnip ... it's porn!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Yankee fans leaving the ballpark is pretty hot too.Even better- Met fans cheering without any Yankee fans to respond.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Need three outs, up by ten. What fun!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 The funny thing is, that, in addition to all the homers they've hit today, they've scraped the wall about four times (with deep flies, doubles, and a single) as well.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Ravetch just mentioned the Subway Series record of six HRs in one game by the Yanx in 1999What he failed to mention is that the Mets won that game (9-8). That was the Matt Franco/Mariano Rivera walk-off. One of the most exhausting game to watch I can remember (3:47).

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Everybody has good reason to feel good, but Adrian Houser is getting touched here while pitching for his life.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) I'm not sure those boots are regulation baseball wear, but that's not bad hitting form, especially for a guitarist. Edited July 24, 2024 by Guest

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Fell asleep putting my kids to bed so I missed most of this one. What a nice score to come back to! Ottavino getting the W for one out in the 5th inning of a 10 run victory really puts the LOL in that stat. Official scorer should have credited the Win to Young (which one? he shouldn't say, that is the fun part!)
