Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I think you're about ten days ahead of schedule date-wise
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 I struggle mightily with predictive text and tiny keys
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 [MetsOrange]Vientos goes bam[/MetsOrange]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Mets Roster Central spent the whole offseason projecting Vientos as ahead of Baty.If only the Mets had been reading.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Red hats look like shit
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 In a hole here with second an third, one out, and Seager up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Good game, but I feel like all baseball should be canceled for the night.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Well, the post-Willie era has not been kind to the Mets.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 You can f@*k off, Grimace
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Time to put the hittin' shoes on.Mets got the first two on in that inning too but then never got another ball out of the infield and had to settle for one run.The Rangers got several out of the outfield after getting two runners on to start things.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Former friends now acting against the greater good include Travis Jankowski, currently in right field, and David Robertson, recently seen warming in the pen.Perhaps seated near Robertson is Kirby Yates, who never played for the Mets, but shares DNA with Tyler Yates, who did. Taking up space on the Injured List are Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer. Jack Leiter, who also has some Met in his genetic profile, is on the 40 but not with the big club.Future Hall-of-Fame Manager Bruce Bochy hit two homeruns as a 1982 Met. Pitching coach Mike Maddux save seven games as a Met in 1993 and 1994, which was probably an even worse time to be a Met than 1982. But a bad time to be a Met beats a good time to be anything else. First base coach Corey Ragsdale was a Mets second round draft choice who tried pitching as well as shortstop but never made the show until he switched to coaching.Mike Bacsik had a double-digit ERA for the 2003 Mets and now does color analysis on TV for the Rangers.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 McNeal constantly starts out with 0-2 counts these days.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Former Met Bochy tells former Met Maddux to get former Met Robertson into the game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Pete Seeger could have made a better throw. And that ABSOLUTELY should be scored an error.Nowhere does it say that you CAN'T assume a DP, only that it's not usually done.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Once again, Mets get runners on, three in this case ... and then fail to get the ball out of the infield. We're lucky to get the one run they did tally.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 It's not often you see double-barrel action anymore.

The at-bat ended badly. Nimmo took the first pitch for a strike -- a likely outcome if you're gonna take the first pitch (intentionally or not) insofar as all major league pitchers, even the bad ones, throw more strikes than balls. He ended up at 0-2 and then was eventually eaten alive by a pitch that dropped about a foot out of the strike zone at the last second. But with two strikes, he had to protect all of the plate and then some. You don't give away strikes.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 GORGEOUS!!That was even off the bat handle a little for Álvarez.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I had CAHNfidence in Alvarez
