Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Always fun to see what kind of difference 24 hours and a handful of timely hits can make.Tuesday:=Centerfield post_id=158867 time=1718158274 user_id=65]Yeah. I watched from like the 4th inning on. I think there were two hits. Iglesias erased immediately by a double play. The other was a two out single by Marte. Just a waste of time.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 What the hell happened to Tim Anderson? He was one of the faces of MLB a few years back
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 OK so there'll be a minimum of a six run lead heading into the 9th.I'm starting to feel at least slightly confident about the tying run not coming to the plate in top 9 ... but I'm not ruling it out either.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Bader ends the game pretty much as he began it: catching a deep one while retreating and leaping.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 What the hell happened to Tim Anderson? He was one of the faces of MLB a few years backHe's played better than I expected the last two days.He had an utterly awful season last year with the White Sox. Halfway through the year, he got in an ugly fight. The way I remember it, it didn't initially seem like he was the instigator, but players across the league came out and publicly said they just assumed he had it coming to him — that he's the biggest punk in the league.I didn't remember him as such. He seemed more or less affable. But I've watched him closely since then, and yeah, he does seam to carry himself like a jerk, even as he's seemingly playing his way out of the league. Here we go. Anderson seems to have much better form, lands a couple early, but Ramirez holds his feet and brings home the haymaker.Cleveland announcer Tom Hamilton, sounding a little drunk, seems to be delighted to get to call a boxing match and acquits himself like he's had experience in that department. Cameo by Noah "You Can Meet Me at the Mound" Syndergaard around 2:40.If you don't need to see the whole match, here's the money round:
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Ah yeah ,I remember now ,he did the HR Derby one year too I think
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Anderson was thisclose to superstardom, getting endorsement deals, rising from that "most uderrated" class when it went wrong from him.Under 200 coming into this series but 2 well struck hits on Tuesday Night

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 I'm glad the Mets won. I was prepared to say something disparaging.
