Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Forgotten, but not gone, I'm now the star pitcher in the New York Mets rotation, providing I can get back into the New York Mets rotation.Who comes from the Pacific rim with a mystery pitch and a ton of hype, and actually lives up to his billing? I think I did, and if something hasn't happened to permanently debilitate me, I can do it again. But since I'm having a injuryish spring, you just know they're gonna kid glove me, pitch me on a bunch of rest, pull me after 82 pitches, and basically curtail my innings to something outrageously limited. But I can't control what sky my star hangs in. I can only control how brightly it shines, and since you're living under that sky and looking up, perhaps you want to let me know what you see.[FIMG=337]https://www.si.com/.image/ar_4:3%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cg_xy_center%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200%2Cx_502%2Cy_128/MjA0OTk1MjQ3MDMyMjQ3OTQw/kodai-senga.png[/FIMG] [FIMG=363]https://www.japantimes.co.jp/uploads/imported_images/uploads/2023/04/np_file_219535.jpeg[/FIMG][FIMG=406]https://blogs.fangraphs.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/senga-injury.jpg[/FIMG] [FIMG=294]https://s.yimg.com/ny/api/res/1.2/SMcG4p2s1fuo1lohsUbFsw--/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTY0MDtoPTQ2NA--/https://s.yimg.com/os/creatr-uploaded-images/2024-02/234328c0-d3fb-11ee-a9b7-8bfea11842cf[/FIMG]
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 He'll be back by May 15. 10-8, 3.60 ERA. 120 innings.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 I'm not far off from BG. I fear a little regression, what with a tender arm and the fact that he slightly outpitched his peripherals last year. May I please be wrong like I am about most things. 9-6, 126 IP, 140 K, 3.89 ERA.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 I worry he performed a little over his head last year and was due for a letdown anyway. But getting hurt in spring training is an invitation to a shitty year, seen it way too often. Sorry Kodai. Prove me wrong. Just don't go 4-9, 4.57 in 19 appearances between dl stints.

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 I'm going to go with a 3.65 ERA in 150 IP, and a 10-8 record.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 7-8, 4.07... Senga! Say it with me...
