There are three 2015 1st round picks on the field tonight.

#18 - Phil Bickford (SFG)

#25 - D.J. Stewart (BAL)

#41 - Austin Riley (ATL)

Also on the rosters now or recently:

#23 - 2022 NYM Nick Plummer (StL)

#28 - Injured/minors ATL Mike Soroka

Plummer, btw, seems to be out of O.B. as there's no 2023 line for him on BB-Ref

I feel ya.

But losing a lead and coming back and getting another is a good indicator. Also, that diving catch by Nimmo in the bottom of the first — which would have been an inside-the-parker had it gotten by him.

Both of those factors have an element of touché that we haven't seen much from the Mets at all this season.

Six outs to get, though, and six outs is six outs.

Vogeys hit was a 1-run single. It only looked like a 2-run double

It was seemingly a two-run double off the bat, but two separate runners were frozen to their bases for fear of Acuña's arm.

San Diego currently up on Miami, which'll make it difficult for the Mets to pass 'em tonight, but gaining a game on Miami is also welcome.

Mets also gain a game on the Giants, who lost 10-4 (there's that score again) to the Phils. Reds are postponed, so it's a half a game gained on them.

Diamondbacks and Rangers are scoreless in the bottom of the fourth.

And yeah, they gain on the Braves, which also satisfies a hungry stomach.

I can't recall the last time this happened during a Mets game.

It feels good going into the second game of a series with one win under your belt, since Megill is scheduled to start the second game. He doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies.
