I mentioned it in the Syracuse thread but Mauricio is being broken in at 3B in addition to 2B and LF. I don't know how much SS he plays anymore, if any.

This has to have gotten Baty's attention

Mauricio has been blocked at SS since Lindor came over in 2021. Why they waited this long to move the kid around the infield is anyone's guess

Nimmo CF

Alvarez C

Lindor SS

Alonso 1B

McNeil RF

Almonte DH

Vientos 3B

Araúz 2B

Saved from back-to-back walks in the third by what has to be the most generous called strike I've seen this season followed by a 6-4-3.

I don't understand what the Mets are trying to accomplish with these 50-60 pitch outings by Peterson

I don't know that it helps them win when the start provides marginal length

Cubs go to the pen as Met hitters seem happy to get out from under the Kyle Hendricks experience.

Except that Apu has been canceled.

On the flip side, so has the Cubs lead.

He's still Apu.

Sounds mostly like Moe.

Dudley Do-Wright in the house!

Wright was I guess technically "teammates" with McNeil and Nimmo on account of his 3 Plate appearances in 2018, and those are the last 2 teammates he has left in the orgamization.

Almonte kind of puts me in mind of a lefthanded Juan Uribe. He's a veteran carrying some extra weight and he swings really hard.

Mark Vientos coming to the plate with one foot on the interstate.
