ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I mentioned it in the Syracuse thread but Mauricio is being broken in at 3B in addition to 2B and LF. I don't know how much SS he plays anymore, if any. This has to have gotten Baty's attentionMauricio has been blocked at SS since Lindor came over in 2021. Why they waited this long to move the kid around the infield is anyone's guess

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 So the good news is he struck out the side ...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Saved from back-to-back walks in the third by what has to be the most generous called strike I've seen this season followed by a 6-4-3.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I don't understand what the Mets are trying to accomplish with these 50-60 pitch outings by PetersonI don't know that it helps them win when the start provides marginal length
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 David Wright doesn't project that sweet voice very well.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 (edited) Cubs go to the pen as Met hitters seem happy to get out from under the Kyle Hendricks experience. Edited August 9, 2023 by Guest
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Mets looking alive all of a sudden, its the David Wright Magic!

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 What sweet voice is he not projecting very well?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Wright was I guess technically "teammates" with McNeil and Nimmo on account of his 3 Plate appearances in 2018, and those are the last 2 teammates he has left in the orgamization.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Wright can't project because he knows he's not saying anything of substance
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 He Gott no idea where that fastball is going

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Almonte kind of puts me in mind of a lefthanded Juan Uribe. He's a veteran carrying some extra weight and he swings really hard.Mark Vientos coming to the plate with one foot on the interstate.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Josh Walker starting to look like a big-leaguer.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I have a sudden hankering to buy something from the Haugland Group. I have no idea what they sell but I want to buy one.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 (edited) Terrible. The walk was not unexpected. The balk was just not knowing the rules. Unacceptable. Edited August 9, 2023 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Ottavino looking like he forgot his vitamin.
