Got to take that chance with a good contact guy up, I think, even on 0-2.

If I'm on defense I'd rather increase the odds of the ghost runner getting to 3rd on an out (even the 1st one) than I would increasing the odds of a grounder getting through and (probably) ending the game right there.

Prior to two strikes I have no problem. But I would have moved 'em back after that.

I'm not much liking the lets challenge even though it's obvious we aren't going to win the challenge that seems to be creeping into the game , wasting time

You're certainly correct but, with the rules giving teams an extra challenge if/when the game goes to extra innings, there's no incentive to Not challenge in that situation.
