A win would connect a four game winning streak for the Metsies

Mets need Senga to get to 100 pitches more like in the 6th inning rather than the 4th

Snakes pitcher Tommy Henry is not an heir to the O Henry candy bar fortune

He has however been effective of late allowing only four earned runs over his last three starts

Making the call that DJ Stewart gets the nod at DH tonight

Ah the 9:40 PM EDT start, fuck you, spherical planet and time zones. Hopefully they jump out to an early lead and then I can go to bed.

Mets are dragging their feet a bit on posting the lineup.

I wouldn't expect D.J. Stewart to start under any circumstances, as the 'Backs have lefty Tommy Henry on the hill.

They should be playing now if they knew what was good for them and you need to get your ass back here right this minute

Yeah, I've been checking periodically for hours. Now it's an 1 1/2 hour

'til first pitch. Maybe there's a huge trade coming!! hahaha....

I have a feeling that the Diamondback line up may not be a good match up for Senga. Senga seems at his best with free swingers that will chase bordrline pitches and his forkball. This helps to keep his pitch count down. A line up of patient , disciplined hitters (like the Diamondbacks) are very likely to run his pitch count up pretty quickly. I hope I am wrong.

This is I think my lineup of choice given the current players on the roster

Mets robbed by the umps and replay official, he was in there!

Yes he did.

Senga, meanwhile, has the fastball down the middle turning the 'Backs into deer in the headlights.

I'm curious as to why Buck let Baty bat against a LHP in the 7th when he PH for him against a LHP with Mendick last week in the 6th.

Well, part of that is that he no longer has Mendick, and has no other righthanded bats available off the bench.

If the Mets don't get a run here, we have a complete game from Senga ready to go into the books.

I'd rather Senga does NOT throw a complete game or get a Loss.
