There's no reason to waste a reliever when they're playing down one player. On pace for a 378 pitch full game. That'll be interesting.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Peterson was probably instructed to intentionally allow six runs in less than two innings. Because, wasn't the Mets goal to take two of three from the Giants? Case closed. Mission accomplished. Not to worry.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Two runners erased on the bases while down 4 runs. Incredible.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 There had to be a template for booth guys when they talk about players , Conforto has apparently reset himself, it was the only way Karros says , he's reinvigorated too .. anyway, everyone's a great guy
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Wilmer Flores takes Peterson deep to make it 7-2 Giants through 5. Barring a a few runs from the Mets, I would keep trotting Peterson out there for another inning or two. He needs to take one for the team and give the bullpen a light work day.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Buck decides that 98 pitches is enough and sends Edwin Uceta in to make his Mets debut.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Uceta is a little guy
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Went off-the-air for about an hour and return to the same score.I guess that's half good.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Things have gotten amazingly slow this inning.Any number of breaks and the Mets aren't in this hole.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 That would have been a good time for Buck to go off and protect his player.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Didn't work.Probably should have been Escobar if he'd been hitting better or even had batted lefty at all of late.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Get 'em tomorrow on national tv again in ~ 24 hours...(hope it's a B Crew or I'll watch on ESPN Desportes)

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 No, it wasn't.It absolutely never is. Comebacks happen every day. Sometimes twice.
