Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Not fucking around Mets
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Unless somebody is hurtin' that we don't know about, there's not an obvious corresponding move. Maybe the A's are dealing for Locastro or Escobar.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Glad to see this! Wonder what the corresponding move will be. Locastro? Butto gets a start, then back down?OE: Edgy beat me to the question!
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 According to several reports, and I won't bother youse with details, but Batyhas been on fire and Escobar may be headed for a bench-ola role for a stint.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 I suspected this when I saw he wasn't in the starting lineup today against a righty pitcher.Or, as Jon Sterling might say, "This good move is brought to you by Bran Flakes".Later
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Escobar forced this move as much as Baty did.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 You can promote Vientos also as far as I am concerned and dump Locastro
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Good for Eduardo. I hope Eduardo grabs the RH DH spot and runs with it!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 http://leaptoad.com/mets/covers/2023/20230417_NYP_02.jpg>I wonder how many people will get this reference to a movie from 85 years ago. I do, and I liked it. I'll probably be giving this cover a vote in November.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Along with a reference to a James Taylor single from 55 years ago, and a Civil War-era Walt Whitman line.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 (edited) Good movie, haven't seen it in quite some time. My wife is a big Katharine Hepburn fan and we probably have it on DVD somewheres. Edited April 17, 2023 by Guest

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 It was from his beloved collection All About that Grass.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 A lot of entertaining Twitter theories about why this hasn't been announced yet, but this hasn't been announced yet. Neither, most likely relatedly, has the lineup been posted.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Is there a possum in this press box, too?Or just sloth?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Looks like it's Brett Baty and Edwin Uceta recalled from Syracuse, with José Butto sent down and Tim Locastro to the 10-Day IL with back spasms.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2023 Author Posted April 17, 2023 Locastro to the IL with back spasms to clear Baty space.
