wonder if they'd take a master's degree in mechanical engineering, and a graduate certificate in ordinance engineering...? it's... applicable.

My priority would be improving the skills of our scouts to identify future star players and getting them into the system, not squeezing the maximum capability out of average ones once they are here.

Cue the Six Million Dollar Man theme music.

I would gather that the pursuit of excellence in performance technology would not hamper the pursuit of excellence in scouting, or vice versa.

I submitted that I have innate, hard to put on paper and oft-times

controversial views on how to run things - with my amusing resume.

Once they see how old I am I'm sure I'll get no response.

Remember the old expression, "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear"?

You have a better chance of doing that if you start with silk.

The greatest Bio-engineering couldn't turn Elio Chacon into Robin Yount.

My priority, but not excluding the other, would be the scouting.

But that's just me.

I don't think the Mets' prospects are sow's ears, or why there is any reason to think of them as such, or why there is suddenly any reason to think that their scouts cannot tell silk from pig's flesh.

I also don't think posting a job opening for one department suggests that that department has been prioritized over another department.

I think this is a false conflict. At any given time, over at LinkedIn, the organization has at least half a dozen job openings. The notion that they may be looking for a head of business analytics doesn't mean that they aren't looking for a rehabilitation specialist, and if they're looking for an associate director of marketing, it doesn't mean they are diverting resources from lefthanded relief pitching.

I don't know why it's necessary to make controversy where there isn't any.

Pardon my hyperbole.

I don't get it at all. Is a Mets fan somehow a better Mets fan if he finds a more obscure reason than other fans to hate on the team? Even if that reason makes no sense?
