Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Time to start inflating that bouncy castle!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Until G & K started talking about it, I hadn't thought of this game as a clincher the entire night even though I was aware all along that it could be.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Kind of looks like an office party.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Todd Zeile keeps saying it takes 25 guys. Gotta update that cliché.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Well, 25 guys and Darin Ruf.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Kinda sad Max had to leave a perfect gameVery hard to swallowMets win Atlanta wins
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 =TransMonk post_id=108008 time=1663647863 user_id=71] I did walk down to the concourse near the 3rd baseline for the bottom of the ninth. There were mostly Mets fans down there and I wanted to be closer to them as opposed to staying in my nearly empty section.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I feel like I missed something. When did it become "American Family Field"?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 A year or three ago. I guess Miller opted not to re-up after their initial time period ran out. Either that or maybe AFF just out-bid them.Tough to miss the new sponsor as there are three signs, separate but almost on top of each other, behind home plate so as to be seen from the CF camera.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 It seems like insurance is the new big sector in ballpark naming sponsors.

I left after the final out and hugs on the infield.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Wonder if that'll still be the case in 2029 or if Citi Field will become like Sands Field.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Citi Field is subtly sponsored by an insurer, as the arch over the Citigroup logo is a latter-day representation of the umbrella from the traditional Travelers Insurance logo, Travelers now being a member of the Citigroup family of stuff.[fimg=400]https://cdn.freebiesupply.com/images/thumbs/2x/citi-logo.png[/fimg] [FIMG=400]https://blueskyrestoration.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/travelers-insurance.jpg[/FIMG]Not as obvious a stadium full o' Flo, but ... we're being sold insurance!

Seems you can't swing a negligently injured cat with hitting commercials for Geico, State Farm, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, or Allstate, and many of those have multiple campaigns going simultaneously.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Anyputts, I was a little disappointed that in all the post-game interviews, including at least two with Lindor and at least one with Diaz, nobody brought up Puerto Rico, very much under water and in the dark.
