Bush-Gore 2000 came after the 1953 correction, so Hughes, who had an awesome beard-and-stache combo, is the only burned one here. And he went on to become Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, which is an arguably better gig.

State Capitol buliding, University of Tennesse's Neyland Stadium, a scenic overlook possibly into the Tennessee Valley, the Nashville Parthenon, and ... SeaWorld?

Good call. One of the Tennessee Valley Authority projects, no doubt. Probably Fontana Dam.

I don't know the dates of these cards, but my first five Tennesse spots would all be musical — The Ryman Auditorium, Graceland, Sun Studios, Stax studios, and Dollywood.

Yes I thought of Dollywood too.

Loving the cards though

There's a saying about Tennessee actually being three states divided by music.

The western third, anchored by Memphis, is home of the blues; the middle third is dominayed by Nashville and mainstream country; the eastern portion gets you into the mountains where bluegrass was born.

With the final game in the Braves/Nats series slated for a Noon start, some two hours ahead of our game, it's possible we could hit a quick tour if both NC & NY in rapid succession this afternoon.

So NC has a state house, the Biltmore Estate, some mountains, a city from the 1930's, a coast line, the Duke Chapel, and I don't know what is going on inside N and A

So my first thought was that the extra half-game lead plus one of the extra games the Braves has being erased from the schedule meant that even the Braves

winning out wouldn't guarantee them catching us ... then I remembered that them running the table would automatically involve three NYM losses so ...

Nevermind!

Still a good off-day for us even if the Phillies seemed determined to keep themselves from scoring.

154 pitches thru 8 innings thrown by ATL pitchers; 114 thru 9 by Phillies

So despite all the Braves' 1st pitch swinging, it still winds up a 1-0, 8-1/2 game taking 3:08
