metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 the '16 all star game duds were an homage to the 1978 padre uniforms which were, well, awesome. v-neck and all. and don't make me have to start defending the racing stripes uniforms. which, well, they sounded like they were just awful to actually wear. but goddamn were they cool looking.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 I went to the Sunday White Sox game and the team wore those throwbacks. (I think they do it for all Sunday home games.) The team kept the thigh letters, but ditched the beltless pants in favor of belts. They look good on the field. The Sox have had so many looks over the years, some good, some not so good. But they do a nice job recognizing that history. They sell versions of many of the old caps, and there are a lot of people wearing them.
