G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 (edited) The late night SoCal road show moves on to San Diego, Carrasco vs. Snell. First pitch on SNY is 9:40 PM. First “I'll just close my eyes for a couple of pitches…zzz…” is a matter of personal inclination. Edited June 6, 2022 by Guest
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 I think the San Diego games are starting a half hour earlier, at 9:40 PM EDT - so maybe an extra inning or two before the closing of the eyes…
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Author Posted June 6, 2022 Thanks Padres for the extra half-hour of hopefully ending Snell.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 The next game that I'll hope to see the conclusion of, live, will not be until Sunday. So that's shitty.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 This one is a MLBN "Showcase Game", outside of the NY area, with Stephen Nelson, Yonder Alonso, Cliff Floyd, CC Sabathia. I'm not familiar with Stephen Nelson but he is also the PBP person for Friday's game against the LAA exclusively on Apple+ (Stephen Nelson, Katie Nolan, Hunter Pence, & Heidi Watney).

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Good to see McNeil back, hope he's back to 'normal.'
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Three guys banged up in that lineup. I was surprised to see Nimmux finish the game yesterday and am at least as surprised to see him back in the lineup this evening.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 I couldn't be any more tired than I currently am. Good thing is we're about to have the first pitch
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 I'm already bored of hearing about Machado. Aren't there 8 other guys in the lineup ?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 How green is the grass on this field, anyway?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Mets should invite Bartolo as a special guest whenever they're at PetCo.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 We could end Snell right now. JDD is hot
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Delayed steal of home is the way to go here.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 This is beautiful. No throw strikes, no win game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Not like McNermal to swing and miss at two fastballs in the zone.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Nice to see we are back scoring first-inning runs!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 So far this is the game of multi-pitch ABs
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Alfaro is one fast catcher. Scores from second for the first Padrun, but getting Profar was a worthy consolation prize for the Mets.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Ha-Seong Kim is no Khalil Greene.Possibly not even an Everth Cabrera.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 89 pitches for Snell just to get thru 4 innings. Basically about 50% more than you'd like to throw at that point of the game.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 That wasn't just a bad throw by Machado, it was a lazy throw from the guy who once stated that hustling "just isn't my thing".
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Padres look defeated already. Like they can't contemplate winning this game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Well, the mission statement of this thread has been fulfilled.
