Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Max Scherzer versus some dumb ass
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Max has the worst WHIP and ERA of the Mets starters, but I love seeing him taking the ball. On top of his unquestionable HOF talent, he is just a great competitor..

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 So great to get Smitty in on the act.Whoever that guy wearing Guillorme's uniform is, also.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 A CG (or, y'know, that) is probably too much to hope for in this era and this early in the season. But Mad Max is thru 5 on just 67 pitches.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Mets' worst starter is throwing a pretty good game so far.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Well, that hit and run spares Showalter any emotional decisions.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Mad Max is a good nick-a-name. He pitches like he's angry but in control.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Man, Yaz just came within 20 inches of tying the game. Also, I think baldfaced Guillorme kinda looks like Curly Howard.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Will they be going back to Diaz for the ninth?Maybe Shreve or May?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Author Posted April 19, 2022 Lindor with the nice mitt work there. One out left to get
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Not much of an IGT, but good books!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Author Posted April 19, 2022 Not much of an IGT, but good books! In my own defense, I was a) cooking and eating dinner, dropping off my ride at the garage for an oil change, and c) recording episode 42 of "Mets on Tap" podcast with Seawolf and Ceetar
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Big time sweep right there.Taking care of business vs the DBacks was one thing but they're the JV of NL West. The Giants are the varsity and were also a hot team coming in (5 straight W's) who, oh yeah, won 107 games last year. Can do no worse now than split the four-game series and can do a helluva lot better.Bassitt-hound tomorrow, then the Cookie Monster on Thursday afternoon when it will hopefully be warmer.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Gigantes had the best record in the majors going into that sweep. A much better equipped opponent than the D-Backs.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 MLB.tv seems to have forgotten to turn off the feed, and I'm getting the SNY post-game show.Buck calls a thermometer "that temperature thing."
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 SNY's feed to my computer insists i'm outside the broadcast area which is weird because its the same signal my TV gets from the same provider - i'm not on an out of town vpn or anything like that
