A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Not a huge fan of either but I like the SQUIRREL uses all the space on the cover. The Newsday top and bottom borders detract from the vibez.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 The Squirrel is competing. Lindor is just reveling in adulation. Plus Newsday must think we're idiots, feeling they had to italicize and color their not-so-clever pun, becoming a parody of the look-how-awesome-I-am post that Lindor is striking.Go with the real news here, fellas.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 "Squirrel" has the rare shot of a jubilant McNeil, the headline is clever and the subheadline, as mentioned before, has the time stamp of an 8th inning walk-off and deGrom being bailed out in the 7th. The Newsday cover has a picture of a horses' ass in the bottom right.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Where are you feeling "friction"?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 In my lower back, man. That squirrelposture doesn't affect anybody else?

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Rally Squirrel...It's not too late to change your vote especially if you happened to have picked the wrong one
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 I'm going with the celebration of crushing the MFYs with 3 HRs as the right one (especially since if the Yankees had won one more regular season game they probably would've advanced farther in the postseason).
