A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 (edited) Watched the heartwarming Mets holiday vid and I'm now curious about the Mr. Met/Mrs. Met family tree. So Mr. Met has parents (also Mr. Met and the wife Mrs. Met) who live in Florida or something. And there is also the younger Mrs. Met (née Lady Met). I know I'm an out-of-towner, but is the former Lady Met our loveable big-headed icon's wife? Does this family tree look like a cactus? Or is "Met" just the familial surname and the maiden names for both Mrs. Mets was Sanchez or Smith or something else? What am I missing?holiday vid --> https://www.mlb.com/mets/fans/holiday-cardhttps://www.mlb.com/mets/fans/holiday-cardSigned, At a Loss in Albuquerque(edited for readability cause I can't write no good) Edited December 15, 2021 by Guest
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I just watched that video. I have my doubts about the truth of the depicted events.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I'm worried about the air traffic control at LaGuardia relying on the Home Run Apple for navigation.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I question how one pair of seniors — who should be under lockdown and certainly not flying — getting to drop in on their son and daughter-in-law can "save the holidays."That's arrogant!
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Do we know if baseball-headed humanoids can be infected by COVID?

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I'm just now realizing that Mr. Met doesn't have ears.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Author Posted December 15, 2021 It's all the in-breeding.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Burl Ives looks great! Looks like he's dropped some weight even.

"A" for effort but I'd rather have the Mets' players read "Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from the New York Mets!" over and over.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Good time to fondly recall the Mets 2013 holiday greeting/hostage video.
