It's not a doubleheader, but the Mets can take two games on this date, albeit one of the dates being April 11. Trevor Williams for the Mets.

(Apologies to batmags, as this is technically his IGT streak in progress.)

I was going to ask about the IGT protocol in this situation and I'm glad you guys settled it to your satisfaction.

Now,

I was about to say that, while Lugo isn't broken, he does seem to need a tune-up after some less than stellar outings lately plus a rough start here.

But maybe it's just a small sample and the motor is running fine as it is.

Suddenly, Conforto's OPS is over .700.

It's a Lindor and McNeil battling it out for who the biggest load on the team is.

Both teams are off on September 27 so why play 2 on the 28th?

So our seats were between the Honda sign and the foul pole. Great view of Conforto and Jesus Sanchez and not so good of the partially-obscured jumbotron or the batter especially if you were like me and left your glasses at home. Was hopeful to get between-innings balls or HRs but no; a ton of young kids who'd gather at the fence angle had priority and we didn't interfere.

Lunchpail was helping me with Spanish so I could tell Sanchez things like "I have you on my fantasy team!" and "JD Davis nearly made a great catch on that foul ball you hit, dinny?" That didn't work either but later a fluent Spanish speaker in our section carried on a little conversation with him, apparently telling him jokes.

A kid seated in the row directly in front of ours participated in-- and set the season record -- in the whiffle ball HR contest between innings. he's gonna to be a star, also collected a conforto ball and dissed some fellow 10 year old punks who were pretending to be marlins fans but were actually yankee fans. Said it was the second time he'd done it and he'd learned from the experience; he smashed the last 4 our outta there in a second or two to win and launched the bat into the outfield in celebration. His mom told us onlookers were so impressed the first time they'd invited him to play in their little league on roosevelt island... he had never played in a lg before then.

Hilarious that Villar fell down 3 times before finally getting tagged out.

Baez really hits the ball hard. even his fouls were vicious live.

the Marlin pitcher made an amazin attempt on that ball he lost, forehanded it at like 99mph to 1B.

williams is good

I like the good vibes in this message. It doesn't sound like a 7-inning win in 2 hours feels like a "gyp".
