Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 They're talking about Jed Lowrie. He can still go eat shit.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Way to square one up Pete! KABOOOOOOOOM
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Also encouraging -- three hits today for McNeil who has shortened up his swing and is putting it into play now.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 I hate taking out Megill after a groundball base hit. I get it and it worked out but I'd like to have seen him get one more batter.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Reck's been fine, him and Gary seem to be enjoying themselves.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Asked and answered: I know that it likely doesn't matter but Megill isn't going to start for a while (July 20th) so why not send him down (on paper) and keep Geoff Hartlieb (today's 27th player) for tomorrow's bullpen game? I'll answer my question: because July 20th is the 10th day so if he went on the IL as of tomorrow he couldn't pitch until the 21st.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Recker is better than Zeile, at least. Give him that much. He's a fill in with a Mets pedigree.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 One of those games I decided early we would win yet have now noticed could be lost.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 If he's going to be named after two heavyweights, shouldn't this new Pittsburgh reliever Clay Holmes be more respectful and change his name to Ali Holmes?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 (edited) First time in a while that I remember Nimmo reverting to his 'selective to a fault' habit.aka: he was trying so hard to squeeze out a walk that he watched a meatball that he simply wasn't ready for. Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Man, on his best days, he's very much unhittable.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Sharp Diaz is much more fun than non-sharp Diaz.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 Diaz has NEVER looked better preserving a victory. Great to see.
