MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Familia was the opener in last night's game. He pitched a scoreless first inning.Later
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2021 Author Posted June 30, 2021 Was of a mind to catch tonight's game as my wife and kids were all off doing other things. But, alas, rainout.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2021 Author Posted July 15, 2021 Fboy and I took in some AAA Mets baseball last night - they had a 5:05 double header, unbeknownst to me, so I showed up at 6:15 for what I thought was a 6:35 PM start and got to see the last 2 innings of game 1 (which they lost 9-4) and the entire second game (a win). Also, I have a new coworker who does tech support for the team and submits the official scoring of each play in to MiLB via an online system. My son and I got the nickel tour of the facilities where the AM broadcast and scoreboard operators/PA announcers all were working. Pretty cool behind the scenes stuff.I have tons of pictures I've taken this year, too, I need to collect them all and share them here. It's a very Metly place now, much more so than it was in 2019.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Two bombs for Khalil Lee today. Man has had a flaming bat most of the second half. He cooled off the last two weeks, but now has his OPS up to .920.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2021 Author Posted September 12, 2021 Long awaited photo collage of some moments from Syracuse Mets home games this past summer. I still have to capture a pic of the awesome Mr. Met seat section signs. Good thing they have a few more weeks of home games this year.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 hey man nice shot
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Very nice photos (and family).

There could be a couple of openings.

There could be a couple of openings. As he is on the roster, he shoots to #3 on the team depth chart as soon as the season ends. Beyond that, well, they traded for him for a reason. So, yeah, we should expect to see him get a good look.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Who would have thought that the player who was cheered for getting an IF single after about 20 ABs would start raking? If the Mets lose a few more games like last night perhaps they should stick him in LF to see if he hits as well as he is doing in SYR or if he reverts back to how he was as a Met.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 One of the team's top 5 prospects, power hitter (his 22 HR lead the organization this year) Mark Vientos was promoted to Syracuse about a week ago, but hasn't appeared in a game yet.Has he been injured?Later

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Syracuse is the only Mets minor league team to make the post season. They will be starting a series against Scranton- Wilks Barre tomorrow, 9/22.Later
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 Headed back tonight for my final game of the 2021 season. It'll be fun to attend a fall game, usually these guys are done Labor Day weekend. Bringing Fboy and his lady friend and then presumably sitting by myself (too chilly for my wife & daughter to want to come).
