Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 And, of course, the bigger problem: WE'VE GOT TWO FUCKING HITS!!!!!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 =duan post_id=60666 time=1618352222 user_id=99]I get that. Can't remember who it was, but I remember hearing someone say 'until you get there you can't believe how FAST a Major League game goes for a manager' - the idea being the ramifications are so magnified from any other situation that you can't replicate it till you experience it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Mets are hitless from the right side on the day.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Could Joe Giradi learn how to fucking wear a mask.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 What's going on? He certainly didn't do that deliberately in a tie game.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I'd have been tempted to PH Smith for McCann here just for the crack.

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Fingers crossed...looks like we might have Good Diaz today.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Let's have one of these 20-pitch ABs from Guimo
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 They got us where they want us. Leadoff guy on
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I know...BIFL. But I'd bunt Pillar here and give Nimmo a chance to win it. I have no faith in the guys hitting behind him now.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 So how will they screw this one up?
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I *would not* bunt Nimmo. What are the Phils thinking?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I remember 2021. That was the season the hit-by-pitch became our best offensive weapon.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I'd bunt. The shortstop is too far off to cover third. But it's 1-2 now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 C'mon Frankie L., become a "True Met" right here.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I forgot about Smitty. I was thinking Alonso was on deck. Good.
