kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 I think it's at one-ten that's no lie...
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 SNY rerun at 8 PM. I may put myself into media isolation for the afternoon and watch it in the evening.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Not much yet out of that #2-3 combo. That will change... be nice if it were soon.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 "Guys! We have first and third with nobody out!""Jake's pitching""You're right, let's do nothing."
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Nimmo's has had a lot of leadoff doubles wasted in this young season. Grr.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Who is Jazz Chisholm Jr and why does he have to hit his one f'n annual homer off Jake?Later
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Oh boy, here we go again.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Interesting.. With the Mets trailing the Marlins 1-0 in the bottom of the third, ESPN's win probability gives the Mets a 63.8% chance of winning the game.Must be the deGrom factor.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Just tuned in and it appears that all that talk about Conforto getting beaned was just talk.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Conforto looks lost at the plate right now. But nobody's hitting today.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 I wonder if Luis Rojas is still confident about the competence of the advance scouting department. They roll over for any pitcher they haven't (or have rarely) seen, a problem they've had for years.Later
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 deGrom now needs to steal 2nd, 3rd, and home to tie the game.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 And deGrom gets to hit, leading off the bottom of the 6th, with the Mets trailing 1-0.Who woulda thunk that?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 And deGrom, seemingly ready to swing 3-0, takes the walk.Take the bunt if they give it to you. Their infield defense has failed 'em.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Conforto, it's a good a time as any to start your season.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 A chance for Conforto to put some elbow grease on the ball and drive in a run.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 deGrom should've stole home.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Wow, baseball without contact is rough.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 The analysis that was used to start Pillar rather than Dom on Opening Day (righty v lefty) should have been used today to sit Conforto's sorry ass down.On 2-0, why did Lindor take that fat pitch? Gary said that he was waiting for a strike after 6 straight balls but Keith disagreed. Lindor is too good a pitcher to let one go by on the chance that there will be another ball. Rogers then threw a beauty to even the count.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Jake better get another inning. He's cruising and he deserves the chance.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Pulling a hot pitcher after 6 innings - Not just a Mets thing!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 So, deGrom 2021 is the second best pitcher in the league.Number one is whoever is facing Michael Conforto with runners on base.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 He'll get better but so far, McCann looks no better than Nido or Ramos.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
