I like how the Yanx have only their top-priced sections -- the ones in front of the 'Moat' -- covered with a tarp.

So what if those unwashed masses return to wet and/or sun-bleached seats, we know where our bread is really buttered.

The bicycling distance, as suggested by Google Maps, from CitiField to YSIII is 13.3 miles if you cross the Ed Koch (59th St) Bridge then turn north up 2nd Avenue, or 16.4 if you want to head cross town first

and take the Hudson River Greenway north so as to hit YSIII from the west.

... y'know, just in case Gary or Keith were wondering.

Maybe bringing in a guy for the 3d day in a row when you have 3 fresh (albeit inexperienced) arms in the BP and a FIVE run lead isn't a good idea. Maybe you start with one of them and then bring in Hughes if you have to.

Error, Walk, HBP, Check Swing single followed what was essentially should have been a second error.

Geez, at least make them earn it!!!!

Start pedaling, Lefty.

Nope, not a good idea at all Luis. Neither were those defensive changes.

I yelled, "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" and my Google Assistant thought I was asking it for help.

Joel Sherman wrote this afternoon that BVW is looking for catching help and that Jason Castro of LAA is of interest. Castro was scratched from the LAA lineup today:

A .180 hitter. Perfect.

BVW will probably trade Mauricio for him.

Ramos can't get down the tag AGAIN.

Of the list of things that went wrong over the last few innings of that game Ramos not slapping the tag on the sliding runner is about 55th on most grievous sins, and even then the bigger crime there

was the sub-par throw by Conforto; it was both looped and off line.

I mean has any pitcher in Met history given up more nut-crushing homers than Diaz? Mel Rojas? I mean, there's nobody even close. He is just on his own planet. Does he have options so he can be sent to Brooklyn? Will he come up with a mysterious 'injury'? You can't pitch him again.

Diaz's HR rate is more than double as a NYM as compared to what it was w/Seattle (0.9 per/9 IP over the course of nearly three full seasons vs just north of 2.0 now)

and nearly 3.5 times what it was in his 2018 season w/the Mariners (0.6)

But the bigger problem is that you can't Not pitch him.

Christ that was horrendous.

I too thought all the defensive moving around was possibly a bad idea - but really Diaz ...
