David Peterson (3-1; 2.91) vs Humberto Majia

Mejia has pitched one ML game and it came against the Mets on Aug 7 where he was the starter and allowed just a solo HR to Dom

But he lasted just 2-1/3 innings because he needed 67 pitches just to get that far (6 Ks, 2 BBs). That was the game the Mets lost

when Wacha gave up the early game 3-Run bomb to Cervelli and we never recovered.

Aside from that one game, Mejia has never pitched above A-ball

Peterson's last outing was 1 run over 5 IP in what became an 8-2 NYM win over the Nationals

Peterson has a win over the Marlins this season so he has seen them. His whip is 1.15

Mejia has no track record. Mets have not seen him. Lest he not rise up now.

Maybe Nido will get a start today

LGM!

The first two posts here need to be reconciled on the Mejia question.

Meanwhile, tapping out a team's bullpen in game one of a series is always a good idea.

At some point, Oswalt is going to have to show he isn't just a "AAAA pitcher".

I hope that will happen tonight.

Already 1/6 w/RiSP which is how you turn five XBHs including two HRs and wind up with just three runs.

Marlins are 2/4

You're Pat Venditte. Can you blow out a UCL in one elbow, get the surgery at the end of the season, and then come back in the spring and keep throwing with one arm while the other recuperates?

I am VERY interested in your trade newsletter

That's a good, classick reliever mullet on this Eibner guy. Runners on the corners with nobody out, but a sweet mullet nonetheless.
