G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 In his postgame interview with Ed Coleman, Rajai Davis referred to Dodger pitching as what the Mets will see “when” they get to October. Who are we to question such veteran CAHNfidence?Hence, here's your (potential) NLDS Game Three matchup, Wheeler vs Walker. Or Zack vs Buehler. Befitting its marquee value, look for it six hours later than normal on a channel ill-suited to deliver Mets baseball.Rajai's certainty notwithstanding, tonight's game amounts another 1-game series. Let us sweep it before considering whatever else might follow.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Last night's swing may well have been the difference between Rajai making a post-season roster and Rajai just going along for the ride.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Send Buehler back to Chicago

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Metz jump to the early lead on a Nimmo triple.Joe Torre in the booth with Howie and Wayne and man, this guy can make a two-run triple boring.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Hey folks! There's a game going on.2-0 good guys on a Nimmo 3 bagger.OE: Edgy just beat me to the news.Later
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 God, these people are just un-listenable.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I'm imagining the most fun way that the ESPN crew could all simultaneously meet their demise. Not because I'm a bad person, but because they are so damn annoying.I think the best way would be if a comet hit them.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Yes! A Jeter reference! Everybody drink!!!!!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I want to see Mr. Met kick Mickey Mouse's ass right on the field.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I have Howie & Wayne on via the app and it's about 2 seconds behind. I'll do anything to avoid Matt V.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Holy shit Ric Ocasek died.Hopefully Wheeler survives this 7th
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Wheelie gave me pause but pitched through it.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 The way Desportes Dude says Zack Wheeler is worth price of admission.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 (edited) Survived it and he better go out for the 8th. The bullpen can only get 3 outs since Lugo's not available.Too bad ESPN's missing a good game.OE: Wheeler's done. Wilson pitches the 8th, who pitches the 9th? Edited September 15, 2019 by Guest
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I don't like this carrot top dude. Let's light him up!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 You don't know what was being said in the dugout (Mickey said deGrom was spent after 7 last night) but I would leave Wheeler in for the 8th. 97 pitches is on the light side for 7 innings (105 is about the norm). But, sooner or later, this team is going to need important outings from Diaz and/or Familia. Yeah you don't want to, but if it's one of them vs one of the back-end guys ...
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Let's GO Zimmo

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I don't like this carrot top dude. Let's light him up!He took a liner to the noggin a few weeks ago.Howie compared him to Yukon Cornelius, which is just a crazy thing to say when Justin Turner is in the house.https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B40mtKfIYAA4ImX.jpg>
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 hHow can it be that your eighth slot hitter was batting leadoff just a few days ago?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I would have gone straight to Lugo here.AND ... a walk and a balk by Wilson.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 And the tying run to third on a wild pitch, or pehaps a Pabst ball.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Well that balk was unfortunate.A walk, a balk and a wild pitch.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 But a big strikeout of Muncie.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Well, winning was nice. Now we're in the tie zone.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Shmugo on. Great. Could have used him a run ago, though.
