Guillorme--not very inspiring but I looked at the 40-man and there is no other hitter who is not injured. None. I'd rather have a 3rd catcher so they can pinch-run for Ramos AND pinch-hit for Nido or a power bat. All of these injured players are on the 40-man:

R. Cano 10-day DL

B. Nimmo 10-day DL

J. Wilson 10-day DL



25 active, those 4, plus Guillorme equals 30 + Bashlor, Flexen, Hanhold, Kilome, Lockett, O'Rourke, Oswalt, Rhame, Zamora = 39 (so who is the 40th?)

Guillorme is the only non-pitcher who is healthy that they could have called up for the 2d game.

D-U-M dumb as the DH may be, it's nice to see Smitty at 1B, where he belongs. Without looking too closely at the MFY lineup because it hurts my eyes, I suspect that playing with a DH helps us more than them.
